Christie Brimm is one of only two attorneys in South Carolina who has been appointed as a Small Business Bankruptcy Trustee under Subchapter V of Chapter 11. In this role she works closely with small business debtors to help them achieve successful reorganization of their debts. She has represented numerous businesses in various industries both in small business reorganization cases and in traditional Chapter 11 reorganization cases. She also has a passion for finding solutions for individuals who have complex financial issues. There are fewer than 40 lawyers in the State of South Carolina currently certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court as Specialists in Bankruptcy and Debtor-Creditor Law. Christie Brimm is among these small numbers, and is the only attorney so certified in the Pee Dee Region, to include Horry, Georgetown, Florence, Williamsburg, Marion, Dillon, Darlington, Chesterfield, and Marlboro Counties. Barton Brimm’s office is at the Coast, at Surfside Beach, but its practice is statewide, covering all of Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand, the Low Country, the Pee Dee Region, Columbia and the Midlands, and the Upstate of South Carolina. Christie appears regularly in all three Bankruptcy Courts in South Carolina, which are located in Charleston, Columbia, and Greenville. With the use of technology, our clients are in all parts of the State and are not required to travel to our offices.
